1. PNP Organization Structure
The Philippine National Police (PNP) is the national police force of the Philippines under the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG).

3. RA 6975 (DILG Act of 1990)
Republic Act 6975 established the Department of the Interior and Local Government and reorganized the Philippine National Police.

4. NAPOLCOM Functions
The National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) exercises administrative control and operational supervision over the PNP.

- Administer PNP entrance and promotional exams
- Investigate police anomalies and irregularities
- Exercise appellate jurisdiction over PNP disciplinary cases

NAPOLCOM Composition
- Chairperson: Secretary of DILG (ex-officio)
- Vice Chairperson: Appointed by President
- Members: Four (4) regular commissioners
- Ex-Officio Members: Chief, PNP
5. PNP Powers & Functions
The PNP is mandated to enforce all laws and ordinances to ensure public safety and internal security.
