"Spelling test, beshy! Ito ang pinaka-tricky part ng Clerical exam. Wag mag-rely sa autocorrect - memorize ang correct spelling!"

1. Commonly Misspelled Words (Double Letters) ✏️

These words often appear sa exam with wrong double letters:

  • ACCOMMODATE - double C, double M
  • OCCURRED - double C, double R
  • RECOMMEND - one C, double M
  • COMMITTEE - double M, double T, double E
  • NECESSARY - one C, double S
  • OCCASION - double C, one S
  • PARALLEL - one R, double L
  • EMBARRASS - double R, double S

2. IE vs EI Rule 🔤

Remember: "I before E, except after C"

I before E:

  • BelIEve
  • AchIEve
  • FrIEnd
  • PIEce

E before I (after C):

  • RecEIve
  • DecEIt
  • ConcEIt
  • PercEIve

Exceptions: weird, seize, neither, foreign, height

  • CALENDAR (not calender) - schedule

  • PRIVILEGE (not priviledge) - special right
  • GOVERNMENT (not goverment) - administration
  • ACKNOWLEDGMENT (not acknowledgement in PH) - receipt

  • PRINCIPAL (main/head) vs PRINCIPLE (rule/belief)
  • STATIONERY (paper/office supplies) vs STATIONARY (not moving)
  • COMPLEMENT (complete) vs COMPLIMENT (praise)
